Tulamben

28/09/2022

Tulamben is a small fishing village on the northeast coast of Bali and a short distance from another desirable location, Amed. Tulamben ranks among the most popular diving spots in Bali. The wreck of the USS Liberty, a US military transport ship torpedoed by a Japanese submarine in 1942, lies just offshore. During high season, several hundred divers per day descend to the wreck. In the Tulamben area, we can visit several diving sites, namely - the Coral Garden, the wreck of the USS Liberty and the Drop-off. The Coral Garden location is at a depth of 2-15 meters, overgrown with hard and soft corals and is also suitable for snorkeling. Drop Off can be explored at different levels of difficulty and is a suitable place for repeated dives of varying difficulty. Just swim a short distance from the shore, and you will also be able to see the wreck of the USS Liberty. It starts at a depth of 3 m - 30 m. Suitable for beginners and advanced divers. The wreck has become a shelter for many species of fish. Here you will find barracudas, moray eels and small colorful fishes. Of course, the repeated eruptions of the Agung volcano also have an effect on the condition of the wreck, when the ship broke into two parts. We go on dives to the wreck early in the morning, when there are not so many people. We can also offer a night dive. Not far from the wreck of the USS Liberty, we dive the wreck of the Boga ship, it is located not far from the Relax Bali resort.
